India, Feb 27: In an aerial dog fight, an Indian Air Force Mig-21 Bison jet today shot down Pakistani F-16 jet at Lam valley in J&K for violating Indian air space. However, an Indian pilot flying Mig-21 is missing, the Indian foreign secretary said.

The Indian ground forces have  seen the Pakistani pilot ejecting and  a search operation has been carried out to find him, he said.

The Pakistan Air Force has claimed  that the pilot is in their custody, he added.

Following this development, Pakistan has sealed their airspace by suspending all domestic and international flights in Lahore, Multan, Sialkot, Islamabad and other important cities, according to sources.
