'Don't Wish Further Escalation': Sushma Swaraj After Balakot Strike: Updates

China, Feb 27: A day after India carried out airstrikes across Line of Control to decimate a Jaish-e-Mohammed terror camp, India's External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj today said India does not look to escalate the sitatuation.

Sushma Swaraj said this at the trilateral summit in Wuzhen, China. The meeting was also attended by Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi and Russian counterpart Sergei Lavaro.

She also asked all countries to show zero tolerance to terrorism.

Sushma also defended India's airstrikes on terrorist camps across LoC by saying that it was non-military pre-emptive action with an objective of curbing further attacks by JeM.

The Pulwama attack on 40 CRPF men is perpetrated by JeM, a Pakistan-based and supported terrorist organisation proscribed by the UN and other countries.
